Funding

The First Minister's Reading Challenge has a fund available to support primary and secondary schools, public libraries and community groups to develop a love of reading in their setting.

The Workshops Fund will offer funding of £500 to invite an author, illustrator, storyteller or poet to work with children and young people in your setting and to buy books or other resources to make the most of the visit. All projects that help children and young people to engage with reading for pleasure, or encourage a love of reading, will be considered.

Applications for the Workshops Fund are now closed. Make sure to check out our Blog to see what activities our successfully funded organisations get up to this year.
